Job Description:

Our law firm client in northern Virginia is seeking a dynamic individual to join their litigation practice group as a Legal Secretary.

 

Essential functions of this role include composing letters, memos, and various other documents, preparing documents for delivery to court, sorting and dating incoming mail, establishing and maintaining duplicate calendar and deadline reminder systems, opening and closing general files, and maintaining an active case list and trial calendar. Other responsibilities include performing overload typing, filing, and photocopying, inputting attorney daily time entries, monitoring facsimile activity, reviewing and editing attorney publication activities, traveling to the bank, court, and other places, and assisting attorneys with marketing activities.

 

The qualified candidate will have three to five years of legal assistant/secretarial experience, bachelor’s degree, and experience with IManage and Orion is preferred.

The ideal candidate will be able proficient in MS Office Suite, able to multitask, and able to take direction well.
